POOLE, 14 AUGUST 2026, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Muc-Off, the global leaders in bicycle care, has partnered with Forestry England on a new three-year partnership, bringing together two organisations with a shared passion for protecting the places riders love most.
The partnership marks a major step forward for Project Green, Muc-Off's sustainability initiative. Building on the brand's work to reduce its own environmental impact, this collaboration takes things up a gear by supporting real-world ecological restoration and sustainable trail stewardship across the nation’s forests.
At the heart of the partnership are two pillars: community trail stewardship and woodland restoration. Muc-Off and Forestry England will deliver community volunteering days focused on mountain bike trail maintenance at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest.
The partnership also builds on Muc-Off’s existing support for riding destinations across the nation’s forests, including Whinlatter Forest and the Forest of Dean, where the brand has direct sponsorship agreements, as well as Watchmoor Bike Park.
Alongside this, the partnership will support the planting of approximately 3,600 native broadleaf trees over three years, beginning with restoration work at Vernditch. This ancient woodland in North Dorset was historically replanted with non-native conifers. Replanting with native species will boost biodiversity and create new habitats for wildlife.
Planting at Vernditch will begin in winter 2026/2027. Further tree planting is planned for 2027/2028 and 2028/2029 at locations to be agreed by Muc-Off and Forestry England. Species will include oak, hazel and hornbeam, with professional aftercare helping the trees establish and thrive for years to come.

But this is not just about planting trees. It is about action, community and shared responsibility. Each year, the partnership will include employee volunteering sessions, giving Muc-Off team members the chance to take part in hands-on conservation, including winter tree planting and summer woodland management activities.
